How Tritium Tubes Work
Inside each sealed glass vial, tritium excites a phosphor coating to create a steady glow. The result is always-on illumination with no battery or charging required.
Tritium gas (H-3)
β-decay electrons
Phosphor coating on inner wall
Tritium Sealed in Glass
Hydrogen-3 isotope undergoes natural beta decay, releasing low-energy electrons
Electrons Excite Phosphor
Beta particles strike the thin phosphor coating on the inner glass wall
Steady Continuous Glow
Phosphor emits a constant visible light for up to 25 years — no external energy needed
When sealed, tritium vials are safe to handle. Their beta radiation is too weak to penetrate the glass vial and is easily blocked by paper. Similar light sources are commonly used in watches, exit signs, and aviation instruments.
Why Tritium
Zero Power. Pure Light.
Beta decay of hydrogen-3 produces a self-sustained glow. No charging, no batteries, no UV activation — ever.
Self-Powered
Generates its own light through natural radioactive decay, 24/7, for decades.
Mil-Spec Heritage
Trusted in aviation, military optics, and aerospace where darkness is the norm.
Swiss Precision
Manufactured in Switzerland under strict quality control. Directly imported.
Sealed & Safe
Hermetically sealed borosilicate glass with phosphor coating. Maintenance-free.

Care & Handling
Inspect with Confidence
We stand behind the quality of every vial we ship. Here's how to verify yours on arrival.
✓ Quick Inspection Guide
1Find a completely dark space, such as a closet or bathroom with all lights off.
2Open the package and inspect the tritium tube immediately on the delivery date.
3Place the item in total darkness and allow your eyes to adjust for about 30 seconds.
4An intact tritium tube should glow on its own and does not require any light charging.
5If the tube does not glow or has any defect, you must contact us by email no later than the end of the day following delivery. Photos of the defective tube must be provided together with the original packaging. Delivery time shall be determined solely by the carrier's tracking information and delivery confirmation record. Claims reported after this deadline will not be accepted.
★ Our Quality Promise
Every vial is inspected before shipping. To protect both parties, the item must be inspected immediately upon opening the package on the delivery date and checked in a completely dark environment. The delivery date and time shall be determined solely by the carrier's tracking information and delivery confirmation record. Any issue must be reported to us by email no later than the end of the day following delivery. Claims reported after this deadline will not be accepted.
Please note: Tritium vials are glass and inherently delicate. Once a tube has been handled for installation, test-fitted, or installed, no warranty, replacement, refund, or compensation will be provided — regardless of the condition. We strongly recommend inspecting every vial in complete darkness before any use or installation.
