How Tritium Tubes Work
Inside each sealed glass vial, tritium excites a phosphor coating to create a steady glow. The result is always-on illumination with no battery or charging required.
Glows continuously for years
Hydrogen-3 isotope undergoes natural beta decay inside a sealed glass vial, releasing low-energy electrons nonstop
Needs no charging or maintenance
Beta particles hit the phosphor coating on the inner glass wall, converting kinetic energy directly into visible light
Sealed safely inside a durable capsule
Phosphor emits a constant visible light for up to 25 years — all self-contained, no external energy needed
When sealed, tritium vials are safe to handle. Their beta radiation is too weak to penetrate the glass vial and is easily blocked by paper. Similar light sources are commonly used in watches, exit signs, and aviation instruments.

V1 → V3: rebuilt for the side impact
Most fobs don't die from a clean vertical drop — they die when your keys hit the floor edge-on and the load lands straight on the glass. V3 re-engineers that exact failure path.
V1 · Previous
A wide side window and a hard glass-to-titanium contact meant lateral force was carried by the glass tube itself. Vertical drops were fine; edge-on hits were the weak point.
V3 · Current
V3 adds a full-length lateral buffer layer and a reprofiled window, so an edge-on hit is absorbed and distributed by the titanium shell before it ever reaches the glass.
90%
of everyday accidental drops — pocket fumbles, keys hitting the floor, a slip off the desk — are handled by V3 without damage.

How durable is a Titanium Keychain Glow Fob V3?
In this real-world drop test, the fob is dropped onto five different surfaces:
01
Brick Pavement
02
Asphalt Road
03
Concrete Basketball Court
04
Wood Floor
05
Tile Floor
Watch the drop tests
Unedited footage from our own bench. Same production V3 unit, five surfaces, filmed in one take each.
Real Test Footage

Filmed in-house · No cuts within each drop · Production V3 unit
Internal testing on production V3 units. Real-world results vary with impact angle, surface and what else is on your keyring. Beyond everyday drop heights — or a direct hit on a stone edge — the outer borosilicate tube is still designed to break first as a sacrificial part, keeping the tritium vial sealed and glowing. Replacement glass tubes are available.
Where you'll actually use it
Not just a gadget. A visibility tool that earns its place on your keys.
Keys & Locks
Find your keyhole faster in dark parking lots, campsites, hallways, and late-night front doors.
Bags & Zippers
Clip it to backpacks, pouches, and zipper pulls so you can find the right pocket in low light without fumbling.
Nightstand & Grab-and-Go
Spot your keys, bag, or gear at a glance before sunrise, after lights out, or on your way out the door.

01 — Material
Machined from Grade 5 titanium for daily carry.
Real Ti-6Al-4V — the same alloy in jet engines and surgical implants. Not coated alloy, not cheap metal. 45% lighter than steel, corrosion-proof, scratch-resistant. It won't rust from sweat, won't corrode in salt water, and won't age on your keyring.

02 — Protection
Built to handle drops, bumps, and everyday carry.
The tritium vial sits inside a spring-loaded shock-absorbing chamber that cushions impact from every direction. In a serious drop, the outer borosilicate glass tube may shatter — but the tritium vial inside stays intact, still glowing. The spring suspension sacrifices the cheap, replaceable glass to protect the expensive tritium vial.

03 — Optics
Borosilicate glass lens. Stays clear for years.
Plastic yellows, scratches, and hazes within weeks. Borosilicate glass — the same material in lab beakers — keeps optical-grade clarity that won't degrade over time. The glow looks as good on year five as day one.

Eight colors.
Pick your wavelength.
Each color uses a different phosphor coating, so perceived brightness varies. Green reads the brightest to the human eye, with Yellow close behind — these two are the best picks for a true low-light locator. White, Orange, and Ice Blue land in the middle range: still visible, more balanced in tone. Pink, Red, and Purple are the softest — pick these when you want an ambient accent rather than a beacon. All eight colors share the same 25-year lifespan.
Max visibility
Best for finding keys, bag zippers, and locks in near-total darkness.

Balanced glow
Visible at a glance, with a less intense look. Great for daily carry.
