R188 Hybrid

8-Ball Si3N4 Ceramic Precision Bearing

Engineered for high-performance EDC enthusiasts, the R188 Hybrid combines a stainless steel race with premium Si3N4 ceramic balls. This specific 8-ball configuration delivers a superior balance of silence, smoothness, and rotational feedback. Ideal for premium fidget spinner upgrades or precision instrument modification where low friction is paramount.

Core Features

• Hybrid Ceramic Architecture: Features a 440C Stainless Steel race paired with Black Si3N4 Ceramic Balls. The ceramic material is harder, lighter, and smoother than steel, significantly reducing friction for extended spin times.
• Precision 8-Ball Configuration: Unlike standard 10-ball setups, the 8-ball design optimizes the gap tolerance. This eliminates the "gritty" feeling often found in cheaper bearings, providing a fluid and satisfying tactile feedback.
• Open Cage Design: The crown cage construction allows for easy maintenance. It runs cleaner by preventing dust accumulation and is fully accessible for air or solvent cleaning.

Usage & Maintenance Guide

• Run Dry: This bearing is designed to operate without lubrication. Adding oil or grease will significantly reduce spin times and attract dust.

• Cleaning: If spin times decrease or the bearing feels rough, it is likely due to dust. Use compressed air (canned air) to clear debris. For deep cleaning, soak in high-purity alcohol or warm soapy water, then dry thoroughly with a hair dryer.

• Break-in Period: A short break-in period may be required for the bearing to reach its maximum smoothness and silence.
